As war rages in Eastern Europe, there is likewise an intense battle in India…for souls. Recent restrictions have slowed progress; not only COVID but also increased hostility toward Christian outreach. Despite those difficulties, the work continues with Christians in Action national missionaries’ efforts.
Suresh, a former student, visited Paul and his wife, Leela. Paul expected Suresh was coming alone until he saw Suresh approaching his gate accompanied by two young men. Paul initially intended to rebuke Suresh for bringing the boys contrary to pandemic restrictions, but the Holy Spirit gently whispered a rebuke to Paul that he was to speak to them about the way to salvation in Christ. Praise God! All three are left with faith and the Savior in their hearts.
Few evangelists are making disciples in Northeast India, where O. George’s son, Thompson, is ministering. Thompson is busy constructing a much-needed home, worship center, and a place to house up to 10 orphans—and he needs help. The estimate for this building is $12,660, of which they have only raised a small portion. Further, the people of this tribe are nearly all unreached, lack almost all the Bible in their vernacular Dimasa language, and are extremely opposed to Christianity. But, Praise God, they have managed to win five people to Christ as Thompson makes friends with those who are traveling away from their village. The Bible Society of Bangalore has recently sponsored the delivery of a new device called the Talking Bible which contains the Dimasa language. Thompson plans to help distribute this device to the people.

Having planted churches in the provinces of Odisha, Maharashtra, Andhra, Pradesh, Tamal Nadu, and Kerala, Benjamin reported recently baptizing 30 new disciples in Odisha.
By God’s grace, missionary work in India continues and the church is growing, despite the official current restrictions against foreign missionaries.
Missionaries Christian and Augusta Kallon share their understanding that in their own strength they can do nothing. Hence, they need the Lord’s presence in all they do. The Judy Zinser Memorial School continues to make an impact on children’s lives despite the pandemic. At the close of the last school year, the Ministry of Health announced a “surge in Coronavirus cases in the country.” Despite the surge the school hosted compelling biblical family life conferences and marriage seminars. Teaching on this subject matter is vital due to the endemic co-habitation practices in the culture of Liberia.
Join us in prayer for the Kallons as they present the importance of godly family living. Pray also that the Holy Spirit would bring conviction to transform lives according to His Holy Word.

When you partner with Christians In Action today, your prayer and gifts provide value towards the organizational costs and preparing new missionaries to take the gospel to remote places tomorrow.
Christians in Action could really use your help at this time. We have had to dip into reserves to keep missions up and running. A monthly pledge of $20 or more would help give us much-needed breathing room. Thanks for your consideration.

Earlier this year our Latin America Vice-President, Tony Heredia, and President, David Ingerson traveled to Colombia to survey the ministry there. The enthusiasm and evangelistic fervor of many of the thirty-seven pastors was palpable. Sixto, the new South America Area Director, reported thirty-seven churches in operation in Colombia with seven new homegroups that will mature into seven new churches by the end of this year—but, they need our help and support.
Our president, David Ingerson, commented that these national pastors are impassioned to share the Gospel and are very serious about serving God. But, at the same time, they are a fun-loving cheerful group of servants of God.
